H2Hubs one of the department’s largest investments ever
The Department of Energy opened applications for the creation of regional clean hydrogen hubs (H2Hubs) last week. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law invested $8 billion into clean hydrogen energy development, and $7 billion has been made available for the initial construction of these H2Hubs. This investment is one of the largest ever made in the department’s history.
“With input from America’s brightest scientists, engineers, community organizers, and entrepreneurs, this national hydrogen strategy will help us accelerate the development and deployment of technologies to realize the full potential of clean hydrogen energy for generations to come,” said Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm.

- For the energy secretary as she oversees the department’s pursuit of clean energy.
- For the president and his administration to seek God’s wisdom regarding energy production and climate initiatives.
- For Director Sunita Satyapal as she heads the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office.
